Harry Scott (ice Hockey)
William Henry Scott (June 2, 1885 – October 22, 1954) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 110 games in various professional and amateur leagues, including the National Hockey Association. Amongst the teams he for played with were the Toronto Ontarios and Montreal Canadiens. Early life Scott was born in Moncton, New Brunswick. Career Ice hockey Scott played on the 1906 Portage la Prairie Cities in the Manitoba Professional Hockey League, and was a teammate to Toby Sexsmith. During the 1910–11 and 1912–13 seasons Scott played for his home town club Moncton Victorias. Scott later played with two National Hockey Association teams, the Toronto Ontarios in 1913–1914, and the Montreal Canadiens in 1913–1914 and 1914–1915. In those two years, he played alongside six future members of the Hockey Hall of Fame, including Georges Vezina and Newsy Lalonde. Harry Scott (boxer)
Harry Scott (27 October 1937 – 16 December 2015) was a British boxer and contender in the middleweight division during the 1960s. Scott started off as an amateur winning the bronze medal at the 1959 European Boxing Championships in Lucerne. Scott turned professional in 1960. He never fought for the British title, losing three final eliminators. Yet his ability was widely recognised, and he fought around the world, facing four past or future world champions, including Emile Griffith and Alan Minter. But he is best known for his two contests in 1965 at the Royal Albert Hall against Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, who had fought for the world title the previous December. In their first meeting in March, Carter was awarded the victory on cuts in the ninth round despite trailing on points, only to be outpointed six weeks later, in what Boxing News declared to be one of the finest victories by a British boxer in the previous 20 years. Harry Zephaniah Johnson (6 July 1945 – 3 April 2013), known by the stage name Harry J, was a Jamaican reggae record producer. Tup Scott
Henry James Herbert "Tup" Scott (26 December 1858 – 23 September 1910) was an Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for Victoria and Test cricket for Australia. He acquired his nickname during a cricket tour of England in 1884 from his love of London sightseeing tours which cost two pence or " tuppence". Scott was born in Toorak, Victoria, and soon moved to Melbourne, where he began to play cricket at a high level. He made his first-class debut in February 1878, and was soon chosen for the Australian team. By the time of the 1886 Australian tour of England, he had been appointed captain, but he remained in England at the tour's conclusion to pursue a career in medicine, and played no further first-class cricket. Scott began as a right arm fast-medium bowler and achieved his best analysis of six wickets for 33 runs on his first-class debut. John Redvers Scott (4 December 1905 – 9 March 1976) was an English professional footballer who played as a half back for Doncaster Rovers, Norwich City and Southampton in the 1930s. Early career Scott was born at Grimethorpe in South Yorkshire. Before taking up professional football, he played rugby league with Featherstone Rovers, and was a member of the Doncaster-based Pilkington Recreationals football team.
